About Us

SOW, How Did We Begin?  SOW was originally established in 2013. After a job loss at a corporate law firm in D.C., Deborah took the opportunity to regroup, and asked God “what would you have me do next?”  After prayer and a nice long vacation, the answer was S.O.W. The acronym stood for “Serving Other Women.” We began with serving women and their families with premium childcare and quickly grew into residential and commercial cleaning, home organizing, and high-end concierge services.  S.O.W. was blessed with a consistent clientele, which eventually required a small staff.  Deb was also privileged to SOW the word of God into hearts through Bible studies, speaking at women’s events, and writing.  It was a very fruitful season!

God’s Plan UnfoldsFast-forward to 2017, when S.O.W. closed, and the Lord provided Deborah with a position at Christian Legal Aid of D.C. The job gave Deb the opportunity to use her decades of legal experience and love for the Lord to serve the vulnerable and marginalized residents of the District. Won’t He do it?!

Don’t Call It A ComebackSo here we are in 2020, and we’re revamped, revitalized, and ready to serve! This time with an expanded scope.  Deborah is still discipling and teaching women, blogging regularly, and is very excited about the business arm of SOW.  She is grateful to be able to make use of her gifts, and her heart is committed to operating in a way that blesses others and glorifies God.  Her hope is that you will consider SOW for your next interior decorating project, to plan your next event, to come and minister, or to allow us to help build or strengthen your ministry.
